I'm taking #'s 2, 5, 6, and 16 and will credit. The others are all perfectly marvelous, and may find their way into my store of icons at a later date. ;-) I love the picture on 15, and the phrase brings back fond memories of one of my favorite Sharpe episodes. Hee!
I seem to remember that Sharpie is the man for you. *g* Just as well, because if things go as I plan there will be a lot more to come (80 to be precise). We are going to be bored to tears of him :(
Well my talented friend, it's about time you did some icons for that community. ;) These are lovely! Took #2, will credit. What is it with me, Sean, and big guns???
I don't know, what is it with you and Sean and big guns? *shut up Freud* . . *giggles* Sorry. Could not help myself... I'm delighted the you like them, love :)
These are absolutely stunning. I don't know Sharpe but I adore Sean Bean and you have truly done him justice in these. Fantastic lighting, good cropping and I like the style. Bravo!
Thank you! For liking, but also for taking the time to tell me what you blike about them! Appreciated :) If you adore Beanie, you have to watch Sharpe! You have no idea..... *swoons* ;)
I'm not sure what effect you mean, but what I did was: - Cut Sharpe out of the original pic and re-size. - Lighten and sharpen by using screen, overlay and contrast effects. - Smudge face to your liking. - Desaturate almost completely (ca 90%) - Put face in front of white layer (just fill with white colour) - Put in some VERY light gray shades by filling layer and using smudge tool. - Top layer is filled with orange/brown colour and set to soft light. Desaturate to your liking. The border brush is just a 1 pixel border adjusted to the wanted size. That's about it. :)
I'm not taking any since I have no idea who this guy is, although he does look familiar, but I just wanted to say that I like the new look ^^ It does make a difference. Although I won't know for sure until you post that yellow icon post you were talking about ^_^
This is Sean Bean (the Boromir guy from LOTR) in the disguise of one Major Richard Sharpe. It's the role he is most famous for I believe, apart from Boromir, of course.
As for the layout; I'm glad you like it, but I'm afraid it's not a permanent one :(. The numbers are for the benefit of this comm ( icons100 ), that I'm doing the Sharpe challenge for. There are some themes and such involved, that make them necessary. I'm not so pleased with them.... I'll keep experimenting ;)
Sigh- these are lovely. There can never be enough Sharpe! Having long admired your work from afar, I am now bold enough to say: "hello"! I will save some of these, if I may, and will credit of course. I especially love 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 20...
