I have too many Christmas icons already, but I'll be taking a couple of these just as soon as I can decide which ones I love the most!
And, just in the spirit of the thing because of the holidays and all, I want to say thank you for the beautiful work you do. It's just icons on a silly journal service, I know, but they're so lovely, and your bases and textures and such have made my icons so much better. It really does make me all kinds of happy to see that you've updated, and I really appreciate the work you put into it.
Thank you for taking the time to say such wonderful things! :) It is highly appreciated. Playing with photoshop relaxes me. It is my way of playing solitude or take a warm bath or what ever ;) That pepole like the result of it is very inspiring, and when they tell me so, like you do, it make me very happy. So thank you too! Happy holidays! :)
no, no, sweets, you're not meant to post another post I have to have icons from again so soon! I refuse to have more than 19 in use together, and I've got so many new ones that I don't know what to get rid of! Granted, I've got 4 cherry-themed ones in use, 3 Norways, 2 reds, and 2 kisses, among other things, but I can't let them go yet. What delicious dilemmas you cook up for me. You must think I'm an absolute nut. ;-)
So. New way of arranging here, yeah? Down the columns in color, rather than across the rows. It's a stunning collage, really marvellous in its delicacy. They look like glass and ice - I can see textures in the background on them that contribute to the frosty look. I really like. They're everything lovely about Christmas - like a winter fairytale.
Do you know, I think I almost like the whole collections of some better than the actual icons? It's the art of arranging that gets me sometimes. I just like to look at the whole scene as you've laid it out - master plan, really, on your part. It's all in the presentation. Every once in a while, I take an icon that I just loved in context of the post and then start using it, only to discover that it just doesn't do it for me as it had as part of the whole. I don't think this is one of those posts, lovely as the whole thing is. Just saying. I'm still making up my mind if the Norway post might be one of them. I loved the bridge at the time, but now that I'm using them, it's really the hay bales that are speaking to me.
*evil grin* I aim to displease, so to speak...:P And I love your "nutty-ness" -
Yes, new way of arranging. Or really the first post in ages that is arranged properly. It felt good :)
Trust you to detect the 'frosty' look. I used the feather textures I posted a while back, they are surprisingly useful :)
And yes, I totally get what you are saying about the posts. I feel that way myself, I am immensely pleased when a post "balances" and I guess it shows :P Perhaps that is one of the reasons why I rarely post multi fandom posts. And why even my random posts has a theme, as you pointed out earlier. I am sure there is some diagnoses for this - :P
Nooooo! :D I'm going to have to re-organize my userpics again. :p
These are very dreamy and soft looking. It's not gonna be easy picking out just a couple of favorites from this lot. I like them all! :) I ended up choosing 5 out of your Norwegian batch to use. 5! :D (I'm not complaining, really, though it might sound like I am. Your icons are just too pretty. Can't resist.) I'll credit the ones I use. Thank you for making such beautiful Christmas themed icons.
