you do wonderful things with ordinary objects and plants and such. I took the second one in the first row and the last one in the second. Great job. :D
Oh. My. God. OhmygodohmygodOMG! You have just made my really stressful day. I couldn't possibly adore you any more than I do right now. Putting all the beauty of these aside (I'll get to that!), the sheer thoughtfulness of this stuns me. Because it was just an off the cuff "hey wizzy" comment for you to keep in the back of your mind, and then you come out with this. At the perfect time - I can't remember - did I tell you that I wrote a fic centered on that quote. It's in beta now, and these are perfect for it.
I have to clear out all my other icons and use these right away. All of them. Because as I said, it's my new obsession. I mean, how could I choose one? The grey shadows on 2 speak of the fading that must come; the blue twinge on 3 is like the winter melting off; the falling petals on 5 from the tree - oh my god, floating there with the limbs floating as well - yesyesyes! That's what it is, with just that hint of pink the background. The up-close perfection of 1 and 11 and 13,and oh, 9. Nine, wizzy - it's the green, the life in it behind the pink on that washout background of light - it's so joyous - but then there's 10, with the sky in the background, pale blue, and then I'm just overtaken by them all because this is what the spring does to the cherry trees. She ravishes them, like these are a kiss to my senses.
You spoil me so rotten, and I love it. Picture me throwing you kisses across the sea like so many blossoms falling from the tree. Seriously, I can't stop smiling. These are a balm to my soul.
*cough* And now everyone who sees this post will think me nuts, but then, I'm sure that others who watch this journal have thought me so before. *g*
I'm a bit late with the response here, but we have already established how much I treasure your comments. Thanks for sharing your thougths on them, it is quite interesting. I see my own stuff with new eyes :) As for the spoiling, it is my pleasure :D
Oh, wizzi, these are all fabulous!! I've really been looking forward to an update from you, and these are perfect to chase away the winter blues. Thanks for sharing, and I'll be back to pick some out, because I can't decide what I want right now.:)
I sure have missed these icon posts with your little works of art. So nice to see you back hun. :) These are beautiful! Not taking any today, but you know I love to 'window shop'.
As usual, your colors are really engaging, and I was particularly taken with the next to last on the middle row and the second on the last row. I shall give all due credit.
When my family was in Japan three years ago, it was just cherry blossom season. It's a remarkable, fleeting thing of beauty. You've captured that ephemeral essence in several of these pictures... which is why I've just snagged another one.
So prettiful. Took all except the blue, last in first row, purple and last one. The only reason is because I prefer the real colors of the blossoms because they are naturally lovely already.
Oh my! They are all so beautiful, I don't think I can decide which one's my favorite. I think I want to save the whole lot. :) Though, the middle one on top and the very last one on the bottom row have such lovely colors... I'll credit whatever ones I use. Thank you. :)
Saved all for later viewing so that I can pick one to use. :) These are all quite lovely. If you want another flower to iconize, you might think about azelas. :)
Hi Wizz! I just wanted you to know that I'm saving all of these and will credit you when I use any of them. They are very beautiful and peaceful. And I love the coloring on all of them.
I've been trying to find more icons that invoke feelings of peace, harmony, and beauty, (and also icons of the chinese symbols for those words, as well as, the word love) and thought, "why am I looking all over LJ when I can come here and be sure to find something!" *grin*
